Barge raid

Barge raid

In D.R.C. (Democratic Republic of Congo) there are no roads from the forest to the capital and the only transportation route is the river, on which boats transport trunks or fuel. These boats are often “raided” by the locals to be used as a means of transport for their animals or sacks of cassava. A trip from the forest to the city can last as long as two weeks.
